and MY GOD, what a PARTY it was….uncomparable to everything! MIGHTY MIGHTY MIGHTY!

very very sad news….

Fred Andersoon, one of the greatest saxophone players and free jazz pioneers, died this morning in Chicago.

born in 1929 and one of the founding members of AACM and always active at his Velvet Lounge in Chicago, until the very end.

RIP

well… the quiz is over…. very many answers… and a lot of them quite corretct…. but only one guessing the right year… it was not Mars Williams, It was not Larry Ochs…. it was not… etc etc….the photo of the roland kirk wannabee…was of course… yours truly. ( sorry about that…)

so, time again… for another photo from the past. teh last competition was difficult… edward g jarvis it was! His sax collegue Magnus Granberg was the first one to guess correct. We got very many answers… and soem were really “interesting” and creative… thanx a lot!

I m sorry to say that I need to cancel my participation in the upcoming US tour with The thing & Joe McPhee starting tomorrow in Chicago.

this is duo to sudden illness in the family.

The tour will happen with Paal, Ingebright and Joe tearing all the ceelings down for ya. this is quite an a**KICKIN trio, I have to say. dont miss it!

the gig with FIRE! thursday 10th june at the Stockholm jazz Festival is cancelled , because of illness.
